Some of the tees and greens are elevated. The most talked about hole is #17, a 235-yard, par 3, featuring a drastic change in elevation from tee to green and providing one of the most scenic vistas on the course. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 6th "Best New Public Course" in America for 1995, and in 1996 it was selected it 39th among the "Top 75 Upscale Courses" for 1996. The same publication also rated it as the 8th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. "GOLF Magazine" rated this course 27th best under the 1998 category of the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." The club is also the site of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. |
