Hwy 18 Westlock, AB T7P 2P6 Canada p: 780.349.2478 This course originally opened in 1935 as a nine hole layout, an additional nine holes, designed by Les Furber and Jim Eremko, were added in 1993. The result is three different styles, the first six holes are treed, the next six are links-style and the last six meander across a prairie. Each challenging hole plays differently, you'll need every club in your bag. The greens on the back nine are fairly large, while the front nine greens are small, requiring accurate ball placement. Water comes into play on nine of the eighteen holes. The signature hole is #18, a 513-yard, par 5, requiring a draw off the tee for right-handed players to a narrow landing area. There is a large bunker on the right side of the fairway and a creek protecting the right side of the green. This is a true risk/reward hole. Should you choose not to lay-up on your second shot, you'll need a fade into the green. |
