Wentworth Road Rye, NH 03854 p: 603.433.5010 This course was built near the Atlantic Ocean. The terrain is very hilly, and many deep sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. The fairways are wide open, but there are water hazards that come into play on seven holes, including #2, a 156-yard, par 3, requiring a carry over a pond. The club replaced three holes with three new ones in 1997. This club was originally founded in 1895 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" recognized it in their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." |
