This course is part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The front nine on this well-manicured layout is a links-style design, whereas the back nine is more traditional because it was cut out of a forest. The signature hole is #16, a 533-yard, par 5, featuring a double dogleg fairway and fifteen sand bunkers. Seventy percent of all the sand and grass bunkers are clustered near the greens. "GOLF Magazine" chose this course 99th in the category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." for 1998. In addition, "GOLFWEEK" awarded it 91st among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 95th in 1998 and 93rd for 1999.
