This course, located only twelve miles from the DC district line, is known for its large, well-bunkered, undulating greens. The tree-lined fairways vary in width, and there are water hazards that come into play on six holes. The signature hole is #11, a 401-yard, par 4, requiring a 230-yard carry from the back tees over a pond to fairway that slopes right to left, then an approach over creek to elevated green with plenty of undulation. The course reversed its nines in 1997.
