900 Olde Tennessee Trail Springville, TN 38256 p: 866.710.4653 Website The Tennesseean Golf Club was designed by Keith Foster Golf Design and opened for play in October 1999. Located two hours west of Nashville, The Tennessean measures 7,183 yards from the back tees and plays to a par of 72. This course has more natural defenses than usually are found in one place: imposing knolls, winding creeks, rock ledges, deep gulches, steep-walled valleys, and sharp elevation changes, and a lot of big trees. Towering pines and old-growth hardwoods frame the heavily undulating fairways. The land was untouched for so long, an abandoned moonshine still was discovered during course construction. The course follows the natural contours of the land, and Foster has aggressively contoured greens, dug cavernous bunkers, and slotted tees into the hillsides. |
