This course has water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. The signature hole is #15, a narrow 530-yard, par 5, requiring a shot over a winding creek. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 2nd "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998. It was also selected 75th best out of "America's 100 Greatest Courses" for 1995-96, and 87th best for 1997-98. "GOLFWEEK" named it 58th best among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 71st for 1998 and 87th for 1999. Walking the course is limited, and caddies are mandatory if you choose to do so. The 6,258-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 77.2 and slope of 145.
