This resort was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1996 list of "Silver Medal Resorts." The Stoney Creek Course is a 27-hole track playable in three eighteen hole combinations: Monocan/Shamokin, Monocan/Tuckahoe, and Shamokin/Tuckahoe. This course features several forced carries over several streams and Lake Monocan. The scenery is breathtaking, and there are many views of the surrounding mountains from the rolling, tree lined fairways. The greens are large (average 5,000 square feet) undulating, and fast. The Monocan nine has more forgiving tee shots, and the Shamokin nine is the tightest nine. The Tuckahoe nine is the most scenic, with many elevation changes and brathtaking panpramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This course is overseeded in September, during shich time green fees are discounted.
