30 miles north of Detroit is Shepherd’s Hollow, an 18-hole par 72 layout. Open for play in July 2000, this course was designed by Arthur Hills and measures just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. An additional nine named the “Hollow” will be unveiled this summer, bringing the course total to 27 holes and allowing each nine to be played in a variety of 18-hole combinations. Fairways are wide and faithfully follow the natural contours of the 350-acre property. This course was selected as one of “GOLF Magazine’s Top 10 You Can Play” in March 2001.
