The original nine holes were developed in the early 1960's by world famous golf course architect Pete Dye. These nine holes were Mr. Dye's first attempt at golf course design and development.
Strategy is the key to scoring on this nine, which is our holes #10 through #18. Mr. Dye's unique ability to combine that which is natural with that which is contrived by man has resulted in a very competitive and excellent back nine. Starting with hole #10, you will find the entire back nine both very scenic and challenging.
The second nine holes were developed in the mid 1970's by Gary Kern, also a local golf course designer and developer.
Mr. Kern built our holes #1 through #9. Gently rolling terrain, a winding brook, and large oak trees provided Mr. Kern with the perfect landscape and he responded to the task equally. Ranging from one of the state's most difficult par 3s to some of the most picturesque anywhere, our front nine is also very scenic and challenging.
