Hwy 2 Red Deer, AB T4N 5E8 Canada p: 403.343.6341 Website This facility has an eighteen hole regulation course and a nine hole pitch-n-putt course. In addition there is a children's water park, picnic areas, and fifteen miles of hiking trails throughout the property. The course is in a parkland setting in the Red Deer River Valley. The front nine holes are semi-links-style with water hazards and rough frequently coming into play. The back nine fairways are all tree lined. The undulating greens range from 6,500 to 12,000 square feet. Water affects play on ten of the eighteen holes. The signature hole is #12, a 398-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot over a lake onto a dogleg left fairway. Ball placement below the hole is critical on this green that is sloped back to front. River Bend was the host site for the 1999 Canadian Senior Men's Amateur Championship. The 6,390-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 73.4 and a slope of 129. The 5,514-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 66.0. |
