This course is located on the banks of the Columbia River and is surrounded by mountains. The fairways are tree lined and the greens are sloped and undulating. Water comes into play on six of the eighteen holes, including the signature hole, #17, a 141-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a lake to a green that is nearly surrounded by bunkers. The unique clubhouse was constructed in 1911 and the glass dome on the roof once served as an observation point for the Turf Club's racetrack, whose outline is still visible today. Norman H. Wood designed the back nine, which opened in 1976.
