The course is built on the highest piece of land in Lee County, which gives each hole rolling terrain and a view all its own.

The large bent-grass greens are elevated and protected by large bunkers, while allowing bump and run shots into the open fronts of the greens.

The length of the course allows the scratch golfer to be tested from the Quail tees at 6,875 yards, while the higher-handicap golfers are provided a challenge from the front tees at 5,280 yards. The white tees measure 6,295 yards and the gold tees measures 5,562 yards.
