The club personnel claim that this is one of the ten oldest courses in the United States. Ostego Lake comes into play on hole #1, and water comes into play on holes 6, 7, and 9 in the form of creeks and ponds. This club was originally founded in 1894 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. It was also recognized in "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America."
