The club played host to the 1968 NCAA men’s and 1988 NCAA women's championships. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on two holes. The greens are undulating and well guarded by sand bunkers. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 2nd "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996.
