Only one golf club in New Jesery has an ice skating rink among its amenities. It is the Navesink Country Club in Middletown, Just five miles from Atlantic Highlands on the Jesery Shore. It's an appropriate site for a rink because the receding glaciers formed Atlantic Highlands, the highest point on the Atlantic seaboard between Maine and Florida, the rolling nature of the terrian being a consequence.

Hal Purdy Designed the course, which was unveiled in 1964. Gaining the most attention were the side-by-side twin par fives, the 6th and 14th which cross the same water hazards. The 14th is shorter, but makes up with water what it lacks in length. The tee shot must carry 125 yards to clear the first of three water crossings and reach a narrow, tree-lined fairway. A carefuly played second shot of 160 to 200 yards to the right of center will carry the second hazard and leave an open pitch of about 125 yards over a pond.
