147th & LaVergne Midlothian, IL 60445 p: 708.371.2626 This is an old traditional course with narrow fairways. There are plenty of water hazards and trees that come into play. There is a man-made pond with a fountain located in the center of the course. The terrain is flat with gradual inclines. The course is very scenic with willow and pine trees lining most of the fairways. This course, since it was founded, has played host to many events, including the U.S. Open in 1914, the Hagen Invitational in 1939, the Victory Open in 1948, and the Western Open in 1969 and 1973. Ken Killian and Dick Nugent redesigned this course in the 1970's. |
