One of the best municipal courses in the nation, Memorial Park's 18 holes, driving range and practice green are convenient to both the downtown and Uptown/Galleria areas. Designed by John Bredemus in the 1930s, the course features mature pines and fairways, tees, greens and bunkers that were reconditioned in 1995. Wide fairways and just a few water features allow the not-so-experienced golfer to play well. The striking Spanish-colonial clubhouse is complemented by lush, colorful landscaping.
