This course's front nine is wide open and its back nine is tight. Solid course management is a necessity while playing the back nine because it winds its way through a heavily wooded area. In addition, water hazards (a stream) comes into play on three holes. The tee box on hole #5 provides a spectacular view of the Catoctin Mountains.
