This is a beautiful, scenic course and one of the most challenging in Central Virginia. Several water hazards and numerous sand bunkers come into play, and most of the tree-lined fairways are rolling and have dogleg configurations. The greens are heavily undulated and fast. The signature hole is #4, a 165-yard, par 3, which has water surrounding more than half of the green. Hole #17, a 144-yard, par 3, plays uphill and over water to a shallow green. Make sure to use enough club to carry the green or you will be left with a blind, uphill chip shot.
