785 Highway 4 West Holly Springs, MS 38635 p: 662.252.4888 This course offers enough variety of terrain to test the most experienced golfer. The fairways are heavily tree lined, and the greens are undulating and average-sized. Water hazards (ponds, lakes and streams) come into play on several holes. Locals claim the signature hole, #5, a 614-yard, par 5, to be the longest hole in Mississippi. This lengthy hole features a dogleg right fairway and a stream protects the front of a green, which is framed by trees. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 5th "Best New Public Course" in America for 1995. In addition, "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 2nd "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and 42nd best under the category of "America's Top 75 Affordable Courses." The same publication rated it as the 4th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. |
