15711 Marine Drive Stanwood, WA 98292 p: 360.652.9676 Website This course is a local favorite that plays longer than the yardage indicates because of the hills and hidden greens. The course was originally intended to be the recreational centerpiece for a housing development and an oil refinery, but environmentalists squelched the industrial plans and home builders chose lots well away from the fairways. The layout rises and falls through the forest and offers novel holes that match the terrain. The dining room in the clubhouse overlooks the green on hole #18, and the tee box on #10 faces Puget Sound and Camano Island. In 1997, this facility opened a Jim McLean Golf School and an eighteen hole putting course complete with sand bunkers, water hazards and undulating grass greens. |
