3 John's Island Drive Vero Beach, FL 32963 p: 561.231.1700 This is an equity membership club featuring three eighteen hole courses to choose from. The North Course has very few water hazards. The fairways are open, so you will always be able to find your ball. The South Course is not as long as the other two courses, but the fairways are narrow. Water hazards come into play on twelve holes. John Lee redesigned this course in 1984. The West Course is the newest, and also the longest course. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 15th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 21st in 1997-98. "GOLFWEEK" chose this course 42nd among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" in 1997, 28th in 1998 and 24th in 1999. It was built on a sand ridge, so the sand bunkers are numerous. The fairways are generous, and the large greens are highlighted by the mounding which protects them. There are many changes in elevation throughout the course. Hole #1, a 409-yard, par 4, features a fifty-foot drop to the fairway. This course is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. All three of these courses run alongside the Intracoastal Waterway. |
