St Francis College Loretto, PA 15940 p: 814.472.3236 This short, demanding course is located on a college campus in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania. The course has never been altered since it was built by Donald Ross in 1917. The greens are sloped to allow for water runoff, and they are considered quick, but not fast. Watch for hidden breaks that will cause your putt to slide away from the mountains. The fairways are wooded. The signature hole is #6, a 431-yard, par 4, which is an uphill dogleg left. The fairway is straight for 275 yards, but the last fifty veers left and uphill to an elevated green. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays. The ladies tee off from the same set as the men and their par is actually 40. |
