Hopewell Valley Golf Club, a member owned private golf and country club, was incorporated in the fall of 1927 on a 190-acre country estate and working horse farm. Facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course, an Olympic size swimming pool, three Lee's HydroCourt tennis courts, two platform tennis courts, and a clubhouse featuring two formal dining rooms with adjoining decks and a mixed grill room. The 18-hole golf course was designed by golf course architect, Thomas Winton, of Montrose Scotland.

This course has tree-lined fairways and small, fast, target-style greens, placing a premium on accuracy and proper club selection. Water comes into play on a few holes and there are both sand and grass bunkers on the course.
