This old, traditional course features small, undulating greens and tree-lined fairways. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on at least two occasions, and numerous mature trees can affect your shots. Donald Ross was proud of his work on hole #7, a 475-yard, par 5, which he considered a par 4 1/2 because of its split fairway that offers a longer but safer route to the right. A challenging shot is also needed on hole #11, a 200-yard, par 3, requiring a carry over a small valley.
