3455 E Fairway Vista Drive Avon Park, FL 33825 p: 863.471.2299 Website Highlands Ridge offers two championship, eighteen hole courses: the North and South. The South Course opened in 1990 and was designed by architect Steve Smyers. Not overly lengthy, the South Course offers a variety of shots for all skill levels. There is a defined cut of rough along the tree lined fairways, demanding shot accuracy. The South Course plays from 4,469 to 6,176-yards and offers four sets of tees. The North Course is the newer of the two tracks at Higlands Ridge. Designed by architect Dave Harman, the North Course opened for play in 2000. This course boasts rolling fairways and fast, well bunkered greens. Water comes into play on several holes. The North Course plays from 5,000 to a whopping 7,234-yards and offers five sets of tees. Both courses play alongside a nature preserve, and many of the fairways are lined with mature oaks covered in Spanish moss. Highlands Ridge also boasts a complete practice facility, including a putting green, driving range and chipping area.
