Located in central New Jersey's Hunterdon county, Heron Glen Golf Course is a municipal county golf course. It's an eighteen hole track designed by architect Daniel J. Schlegel of Ault, Clark & Associates, and opened for play in 2002. The championship par 72 course meanders along the floodplain of the Neshanic River, and the rolling, tree lined fairways lead to large, challenging greens. Several streams come into play throughout the course and there are nearly 60 strategically placed bunkers waiting to swallow up errant shots. The course plays from 5,172 to 7,065 yards, and there are five sets of tees to accommodate all handicaps. Heron Glen boasts extensive practice and instruction facilities, and was chosen as an LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Site.
