Headwaters' scenery - mountains, wetlands, trees, and alpine meadows - make for a secluded golf getaway, where your biggest competition for the greens will come from the occasional elk, deer or grouse.

Golf course designer Michael Asmundson has described the Headwaters experience as "an adventure that continues to build throughout the round." Asmundson says that the front nine is forgiving when played from the front tees, but those wanting more of a challenge can choose the championship tees, which require long accurate shots. The front nine serves as a warm-up to the back nine, where golfers will encounter several memorable holes incorporating lakes, wetlands, elevated tees, and large, deep bunkers.
