Manuel L. Francis purchased Green Harbor Golf Club in 1965 as a turf farm, where he developed the "vesper velvet "greens. Flat terrain and one of the very few golf courses that is only walking but still requires shot accuracy because of the many trees that can alter your shots. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, and there are several sand bunkers on the course. The greens are large, flat and the velvet surface provides a must experience for golfers of all levels.
