South Branch Rd Roscommon, MI 48653 p: 989.275.0700 Website Forest Dunes Golf Club is an eighteen hole championship track and part of a private real estate development. The course was designed by British Open champion and architect Tom Weiskopf, and opened for play in 2002. The course design evokes the feel of Weiskopf's other courses, and contains a mix of styles, from traditional parkland to links style holes. There are many natural sand dunes and native grasses throughout, as well as towering pines lining several fairways. The course was constructed over rolling terrain and the large greens are undulating and fast. Water comes into play on six holes and there is extensive bunkering throughout the course, adding to the challenge of Forest Dunes. The course plays from 5,097 to 7,104-yards and there are several tees, including a set for juniors, to accommodate all skill levels. The club includes a 15-acre practice facility, 2-acre putting course, and a "playoff" 19th hole - a 117-yard, par 3 over water to a green guarded by a bunker in its center.
