16240 Robin Hill Rd London, ON N5V 5C3 Canada p: 519.451.0994 This is the only golf course in Ontario that has been rated with four stars by "Golf Digest." This facility also hosted the 1994 and 1995 Ontario Open. The layout has been described as fairly difficult. The front nine is more links-style with wide fairways and no tree line. The back nine has wide-open fairways that are tree lined. The terrain is predominantly flat but an occasional mound may cause an uneven lie. Water hazards come into play on six holes. The greens are fairly large, undulating and fast. The signature hole is #15, a 525-yard, par 5, which is called "The National." This hole allows a choice of shooting at two different fairways, and the player has a choice on the second shot of either laying up, or aiming for the green in two, but the player will have to cross a huge pond with that option. Soft spikes are strongly encouraged but not mandatory. The 5,942-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 73.9 and a slope of 131. |
