This traditional course's greatest asset is its length, measuring 7,100 yards from the tips. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens are fast and undulating. Water hazards (lakes, creeks, and ponds) come into play on ten holes. The driving range offers fifty stations, and the five target greens. Only members and guests of members are allowed to play this course. According to the Washington Golf Monthly, Fawn Lake Country Club is noted as having the "best fairways in the Dominion".
