State Road 187 Bullard, TX 75757 p: 903.825.2999 Website This eighteen hole course is touted as the longest course in east Texas. For tournament play, the tees can be moved back from 7,035 yards to 7,300 yards. The course is located on the eastern shore of Lake Palestine. The layout has the topography and appearance of Augusta, as it undulates through a hardwood and dogwood forest. There are two island greens, one on the front nine and one on the back. The native hardwood and dogwood-lined fairways create a tunnel straight-away shot to wide landing areas. Dogleg fairways protect second and approach shots to the green. Water hazards, sand bunkers and pot bunkers all collaborate to add further green protection. The greens are very large, averaging over 8,400 square feet. This course hosted/will host the 2001 Texas Golf Association State Father/Son, the 2001 Tight Lies Tour, and the 2002 Women's State Amateur tournaments. |
