This course provides both hard and easy holes to play. The greens are fast, and the course was built on rolling hills. The opening holes literally flow toward the Long Island Sound. Water hazards come into play on the 10th, 11th, and 13th holes. William S. Flynn redesigned the course in the 1930's. "GOLFWEEK" selected it 74th among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1998 and 77th in 1999. "GOLF Magazine" also selected it 82nd among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1999. Guests are not allowed to play the course unless accompanied by a club member.
