The greens are elevated, and the fairways are hilly on one side of the course and flat on the other side. There is one pond and the Farmington River coming into play on a few holes. The club hosted the state Father-Son Amateur Tournament and a local 1992 U.S. Open qualifier. This club was originally founded in 1892 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition "GOLF Magazine" recognized it in their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." |
