This course was built on an old floodplain and the Pratts River runs right through the layout. In fact, water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, while sand bunkers are also strategically placed throughout the design. A dam is located at the southern end of the course along with a dining facility. The greens are medium-sized and of variable undulation, and most of the fairways are open, although a few are tree lined. One of the best holes is #8, a 150-yard, par 3, which calls for an elevated tee shot that must carry over a creek. The green is also protected by sand bunkers on the right and left sides.
