92 Route 329 St Donat, QC J0T 2C0 Canada p: 819.424.2658 This was originally a four hole course that was built by an individual for his private use. Over the years, marsh areas and mountains were cleared and another five holes were added. In 1990, a back nine was built, expanding the layout into an eighteen hole design. Your round will certainly be enhanced by the beautiful surrounding Laurentian Mountains and several lakes visible from the course. The terrain is quite hilly, resulting in many uneven lies. Although the design includes dogleg fairways, they are fair and you will not encounter any blind shots. The course is heavily treed, but a ten-foot radius is kept clean, followed by heavy bush. The greens are very small and very slow. You'll not have many three putts, but accurate approach shots are a must in order to post a low score. The signature hole is #18, a 530-yard, par 5, featuring a very narrow dogleg left fairway and a lake 325 yards from the tee immediately after the elbow. Your tee shot should carry more than 200 yards, then a lay-up shot is most likely needed over the lake. Finally, the approach shot is to a small green with a severe slope from back to front. Target golf is the name of the game on this hole. Water comes into play on five of the eighteen holes altogether. They have a double twilight available at 2 PM and again at 4 PM. |
