CP 39 Waterville, QC J0B 3H0 Canada p: 819.837.2966 This is a mature course with a political history. In 1905, there were two courses in the town. Conservatives played one and liberals the other. Prime Minister Louis St-Laurent used to play this course during the 1950's. The course is nestled in a valley with a wonderful view of the Lac Magantic Canadian mountains. You can also see the mountains in New Hampshire, which is a half hour away from the course. The course is well maintained and features small, Scottish-style greens. The signature hole is #7, a 551-yard, par 5, providing a magnificent view from an elevated tee box of the mountains and distant farms. In addition to the lovely view, the hole is challenging with a water hazard to be cleared on your second shot. The green is sloped from front to back and depending on pin placement can be quite tricky. Trees were planted in the early 1980's, and when they mature the fairways will be defined by them. There is a net for pre-game warm-up. Twilight rates are available after 1:30 PM and again after 4 PM. |
