This course is a short distance from the city, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle to allow a peaceful day on the links. The terrain is hilly and heavily wooded with a variety of cedar, birch and maple trees. During the fall months the autumn colors are vibrant. The fairways have a variety widths and are well groomed, well bunkered, and there is some rough but it's not abusive. The well-manicured greens are some of the nicest in the region. They are big with subtle sloping and have average speed. The signature hole is #14, a 158-yard, par 3, with a very highly elevated tee box, offering a view of most of the course. Your tee shot is downhill to a long, narrow, sloped green protected by a bunker on the left and a ravine on the right. Depending on wind velocity, your club selection can vary from a nine to a four-iron. Water comes into play on four of the eighteen holes.
