The course itself began as a nine hole course in the 1970's and was developed based upon a course seen overseas. In 1985 the course was developed into an eighteen hole championship course, and into the layout as you see it today. After four months of intense work, which should have taken eight months to complete, the former Carolina Downs Country Club was opened to the public as Carolina Crossing Golf Club. With future private estate development plans, the Carolina Crossing Community will only grow into a more mature and lush recreational area for all to enjoy!
