The Canadian Shield is the ancient geological core of Canada, formed over 3 billion years ago. It has since been altered greatly by Mother Nature and Father Time.

Erosion wasted away what once was our planet's highest mountain range, to what we now witness as rocky and rolling hills. The Adirondacks of New York and the Laurentians of Quebec are vague reminders of the Shield's towering History.

We are left with the Shield's stark beauty, deep forests and thousands of fresh lakes, all for us to enjoy and preserve.
