Set in the lovely Caledon Hills northwest of Toronto, Caledon Woods Golf Club opened in Spring 2003 looking like it's been open for decades. A complete redesign of former 27-hole daily fee Bolton Golf Club, Caledon Woods is a new 18-hole ClubLink Gold Member Club. Designer Paul Takahashi has taken maximum advantage of the thick stands of mature trees, rolling contours and the Humber River to create a classic-style parkland course. Takahashi used older courses known for their moderate length as a design precedent, fashioning a par-71 course of 6,415 yards that provides strategic challenge for all abilities. "You have to read every hole from tee to green," Takahashi says. The clubhouse by architect Richard Wengle is adorned with barn-style dormers and a porch on three sides that provides beautiful views of the course.
