This course, named for the huge hill located on hole #1, is well-maintained. Even though the fairways are tree lined, they still afford generous landing areas. Water hazards (ponds and creeks) come into play on twelve holes. The greens vary in size, speed, and undulation. The fairways are rolling and forgiving with generous out-of-bounds areas. The signature hole is #12, a 548-yard, par 5, featuring a slight dogleg fairway. A seven-acre lake lines the right of the hole and a large fairway bunker comes into play on approach shots to the green.
