6275 Bryan Park Road Brown Summit, NC 27214 p: 336.375.2200 This complex has two fine eighteen hole courses. The Players Course can become a real skill challenge, however, because of its popularity, enjoyment is foremost. The design includes many sand bunkers and water hazards. The Players Course was modified by Rees Jones. "Golf Digest" rated the Players Course as the 12th "Best in State" course for 1995-96. The Champions Course has water hazards coming into play on thirteen holes. The Champions Course is recognized as one of the best tests of golf for a public course. With five of the closing holes bordering Lake Townsend, this course is destined to be popular as a premier championship host. It was named runner up for the "Best New Public Course" in the nation in 1990 by "Golf Digest," and also noted as one of the few public courses worthy to host the U.S. Open by "Golf World" in 1992. In addition, "Golf Digest" rated this course 12th best under the category of "America's Top 75 Affordable Courses" in their 1996 list of "America's Best Golf Courses Everyone Can Play," and the 17th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. The Greater Greensboro Open Qualifying round was held here in 1994 and 1997. Tee times may be reserved up to thirty days in advance with a credit card security deposit. |
