The land that this scenic course is built on was once part of an old southern plantation, and later was the site where Confederate soldiers held reunions. The signature hole is #13, a 172-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot across a scenic pond to the green. The course is spread out over 150 acres and has many mature trees lining its fairways, but the fairways are so wide that these trees seldom come into play. There are water hazards that come into play on four holes.
