This course was rated as one of the best courses in the area by a local magazine. The signature hole is #3, a 436-yard, par 4, requiring a straight tee shot, then an uphill approach shot to a double-tiered green that has a creek flowing in front. The Black River comes into play on five holes. There are two other ponds and a creek that come into play on four other holes. There are five greens that are multi-tiered, while other greens might have as much as an eight-foot break.
