Shore Road & Leo Fraser Drive Northfield, NJ 08225 p: 609.641.7575 This links-style course features tree-lined fairways and fast greens. The terrain is predominantly flat and easy to walk. However, elevation changes and a few hills will cause uneven lies. Water comes into play on 7 holes. The course plays from 6,175 to 6,539-yards and is suitable for all handicaps. According to locals, this is one of the oldest courses in the United States. This course was built near the bay, and Tom Doak recently redesigned several holes. Membership is closed and non-member play is by invitation only. The club held the Ladies' U.S. Open in 1948, 1965, and again in 1975. This course was also the site of the 1997 USGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship. |
