This course was named after a winding brook and 1,000 ash trees that occupy the layout. The greens are medium-sized and fast. About half of the greens are contoured and well-bunkered. The fairways are wide open, but from the back tees offer a challenge for the advanced golfer. Trees generally do not come into play, with the exception of hole #1 and #10, which feature a few in the fairway. The signature hole is #16, a 143-yard, par 3, featuring a water hazard on the right and woods on the left.
