Route 4 & Paramus Road Paramus, NJ 07653 p: 201.843.9800 Website Arcola was founded in June of 1909, by a group of founding fathers of the North Jersey Country Club. They purchased a 108-acre site on a knoll in Paramus, extending from Paramus Road to Sprout Brook, and engaged H.H. Barker to design an 18-hole golf course. It was known for small, tightly bunkered greens and Arcola lies in the rough...described as hard pan with the occasional clump of wild grass. This flat course has ponds that come into play on four holes. The course has fast greens and tree-lined fairways. Robert Trent Jones, Sr. redesigned the course in 1960. Due to the private nature of this course, guest fees were not available for publication. |
